Zach Jones is a San Antonio Artist, born in Austin, Texas in 1985, and raised on the East coast and San Antonio. Jones grew up in the Blue Star arts scene, and attended both Say Sí and Northeast School of the Arts in high school. Jones works in multi-media, combining natural materials such as wood, bamboo, salt and steel to express ideas of balance and connection through a personal iconography. Jones attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago on Presidential scholarship, and the Southwest School of art on a full scholarship. He is an alum of the Southwest School of Art with his BFA. Jones interned at ArtPace in San Antonio, and has recently exhibited drawings and multi-media sculptures at the AP Art Lab in San Antonio, the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, and at the Southwest School of Art.
